Struggling with tracking blindspots, language barriers in the German market, and fierce artificial jewelry competition, Hills Jewellery was incurring ad account losses. We designed an omnichannel customer journey funnel and optimized Average Order Value (AOV) to drive a 5.5x average ROAS.
E-commerce jewelry stores are seeing a massive rise in the digital market. However, since the onset of the global pandemic, it has become challenging for new e-commerce brands to find clean traction and growth.
We had an encounter with a Germany-based E-commerce jewelry brand, Hills Jewellery, which specializes in selling artificial jewelry across multiple domains. The brand aimed to earn profits through social media marketing. For this reason, they had started running advertisements on Facebook, but all in vain. On the contrary, the brand was running in losses.
Our client had already spent a hefty amount of money on various marketing companies. She was exhausted and unwilling to spend any extra budget that had even the slightest prediction of going to waste.
The brand was directed to our marketing agency when they were at their lowest. We decided to show results by raising their sales starting from the very first week. We gathered our dedicated workforce, analyzed the brand's status in digital marketing, and planned an objective to increase their Average Order Value (AOV) and generate more than a 4x Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
We drew an objective to audit their existing infrastructure and convert their campaigns into consistent, profitable sales. However, we encountered some expected as well as unforeseen challenges:
Data is the most important element when running e-commerce campaigns. Without accurate tracking, campaigns can go in the wrong direction, wasting major ad spend with little or no return. By the time we got access to the account, we realized that data was not properly tracked, and there were more than 10 critical user touchpoints that were completely unlogged. We had to integrate all tracking components and start analyzing touchpoints from scratch.
Our target location was Germany, which has a relatively smaller population than markets like the USA. Furthermore, the local target demographic prefers the native language over English. This presented a double challenge: diving deep into local-language copy while isolating the exact demographic of women interested in artificial jewelry.
Artificial jewelry is a crowded niche that attracts many competing brands. Owing to the high number of players in this field, the competition was inevitably fierce. We did not aim to degrade the competition but to amplify our client's unique merits. With strategic positioning and planning, we made our brand stand out.
Given the challenges, driving instant conversions was difficult, but far from impossible. We designed a clear blueprint to systematically turn their performance around:
We started from the basics. We designed a detailed customer journey funnel to take users from the awareness phase, through consideration, and finally to conversion. We analyzed exactly how and when our target demographic discovered our client's products, using these findings to tailor our ad messaging to their specific buying stage. Our team worked around the clock to ensure the inflow of clean, accurate data.
Our next step was to execute this customer journey blueprint. With a laser-targeted demographic approach, we guided users directly into the custom e-commerce funnel we had built. We drove purchases by deploying tailored offers and discounts.
To increase the Average Order Value (AOV), we introduced upsell offers directly after a purchase was completed. This personalized shopping experience optimized the value of every single checkout and successfully boosted direct purchase revenue by **1.5x**.
We positioned the brand as a premium, reliable one-stop-shop for artificial jewelry, building long-term trust. The problem of high competition was solved by providing users with unmatched purchase convenience and customized product deals.
Since we wanted to drive results quickly to prove our capabilities, we did not limit our campaigns to Facebook or Instagram ads alone. Instead, we expanded our presence to other high-converting, profit-driven platforms. We restructured their ad engine to span Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Google Shopping Ads, Google Dynamic Remarketing, and Sendinblue for automated email marketing.
We fully adopted omnichannel marketing, coordinating campaigns across multiple ad platforms. By ensuring our tracking pixels communicated across these touchpoints, we synchronized our messaging and delivered a unified shopping experience to the target audience.
We achieved break-even metrics in a very short span of time. Within **1.5 months**, we successfully pulled the brand out of losses and made it consistently profitable.
Instead of scaling too aggressively right away, we stabilized the campaigns to ensure the brand maintained profitability. Once stable, we scaled campaigns over a 10-day period, reaching **$10,000 in ad revenue** while maintaining an average ROAS of **6x**.
Ultimately, within **3 months**, we generated **$190,000+ in sales** with an average campaign ROAS of **5.5x**.
We crossed this milestone thanks to our client's trust and patience. By combining custom upsell configurations with an omnichannel ad framework, we successfully scaled Hills Jewellery into a highly profitable global e-commerce brand.
